METALLICA Bassist Interviewed On Boise's 100.3 FM THE X; Audio Available
December 9, 2009Big J of the Boise, Idaho radio station 100.3 FM The X conducted an interview with METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo before the band's December 7, 2009 concert at the Idaho Center. The chat is now available for streaming using the audio player below.
In the "bonus content" section of the new French concert DVD from METALLICA, "Francais Pour Une Nuit" (or French For One Night),the members of the band are asked to each comment on a question that has perplexed METALLICA fans since last year: does the coffin on the cover of the band's latest album, "Death Magnetic", resemble the female sex organ?
Clips from the DVD in which drummer Lars Ulrich, frontman James Hetfield and Trujillo each give their own thoughts on the matter have been posted online.
"Death Magnetic" arrived in September 2008 and has sold nearly two million copies since its release.
METALLICA has used controversial cover art before, most notably a photo that mixed semen and blood on the cover of the band's 1996 album "Load".
METALLICA is playing a short round of West Coast tour dates this week before taking a holiday break. The group heads overseas in early 2010.
